Swedish Match, Svenska Tändsticks AB in Swedish, is a manufacturer and distributor of smokeless tobacco, cigars, and light products. Based in Stockholm, Sweden, the company was founded by Ivar Kreuger after his company, AB Svenska Förenade Tändsticksfabriker, merged with the largest match company in Sweden (AB Jönköping-Vulcan). Through the acquisition of smaller production companies by purchasing shares, Swedish Match controlled 60% of the world's match production by 1930.
